Moon Township Police Department

1000 Beaver Grade Road
Moon Township, PA 15108
(412) 262-5000

The Moon Township Police Department is a full-service police department with 30 full-time police officers working under the leadership of a Police Chief and Police Captain.

In addition to its certified officers, the police department supports a full-time dispatch unit, which employs eight civilians and receives emergency calls for both Moon Township and neighboring Crescent Township.

As a result of its strong focus on specialized training and grant writing, the department is able to provide a variety of programs and services to Moon Township and surrounding communities.

In addition to community outreach programs, such as its Child Safety Seat Program and D.A.R.E. drug education program, the department also facilitates emergency communications with Moon Township residents.

The police department uses the SwiftReach Reverse 911 as well as Home Alone Monitoring, which allows officers to contact residents directly in case of emergency and to check on elderly residents daily. Residents can register for these services and find out more about the department by visiting the Moon Township Police Department website.

For recent monthly Police Reports, check the News section of the website: Police Reports.
