Comprehensive Plan Committee Meets for Second Meeting
Posted: May 16, 2011
At Moon Township’s second Comprehensive Plan meeting, steering committee members and resident attendees reviewed the plan’s major components and discussed details for a community survey, which will be released to township residents to gather a wide range of public input for the plan.
Project consultant D. Jeffry Pierce of Olsen & Associates also distributed Comprehensive Plan project books, which are sectioned off by the planning elements required by the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code. An electronic version of the project book will be posted on the Comprehensive Plan web page, and a hard copy is available for review at the Moon Township Municipal Building.
Following the plan overview, attendees divided into discussion groups with the task of identifying Moon Township’s primary strengths and weaknesses. The focus group findings will be compiled and presented at the next Comprehensive Plan Committee meeting, which is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, at the Moon Township Municipal Building. Residents are encouraged to attend these public meetings.
