Departments

Administration

The day-to-day operations of Moon Township are run by the Township Manager, who is appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The Township Manager and Assistant Managers are responsible for overseeing personnel, implementing and enforcing policy decisions, preparing the annual budget and ensuring that all subsequent departments are run smoothly and efficiently. Police Department

The Moon Township Police Department consists of one Police Chief, one Police Captain and approximately 30 certified lieutenants, sergeants and patrolmen. In addition to regular patrols of Moon Township, the police department provides a vast array of services to residents of Moon Township and surrounding communities. Fire Department

The Moon Township Fire Department consists of a Fire Marshall, who also serves as the Fire Chief, and assistant fire chief and more than 50 volunteers. Moon Township currently has four fire stations within the community. Click here for more information about Moon Township's Fire Department.

Public Works

The Moon Township Department of Public Works is responsible for the maintenance of all Township-owned roads, properties and buildings. Click here for more information about Moon Township's Road Department.

Building Inspector

Moon Parks & Recreation

Moon Township Administration Office

Organizationally, Moon Township is broken up into various departments, which are overseen by department heads who report directly to the Township Managers.

These departments – from planning to public works, parks and cable television – are individually responsible for overseeing the policies and programs implemented by the Board of Supervisors.
