Important information about MTVFC donation campaign.
The Township of Moon employs a full-time Fire Marshal who is responsible for reviewing building plans to ensure they comply with fire codes and regulations. A volunteer fire chief oversees the Volunteer Fire Department. An assistant fire chief and more than 50 volunteers. Moon Township currently has four fire stations within the community. The volunteers respond to hundreds of calls annually – ranging from fire emergencies to gas leaks and car accidents. Additionally, volunteers participate in weekly training sessions to keep apprised of new procedures and techniques for handling emergencies. The Moon Township Volunteer Fire Company is currently holding their annual donation campaign. Please note that the fire company only solicits donations through the United States Postal Service. Anyone who receives a phone call requesting a donation is advised that these phone calls are erroneous and are not authorized by the fire company. Please do not provide these companies with any personal information, including credit card numbers, over the telephone. Again – all donations to the Moon Township Volunteer Fire Company are collected via the U.S. Mail.
