Moon Township Permits and Inspections

Moon Township’s Building Inspector is responsible for enforcing state and local building regulations in both new and existing structures. Building codes are important because they ensure that the structures surrounding us are safe to use and protect people from disasters due to fire, structural collapse and general deterioration.

The Building Inspector is also responsible for approving contractors’ building permits. Permits allow the enforcement of state, county and township building codes and ensure that all building projects protect public health, safety and welfare.
