Moon Transportation Authority

The Moon Transportation Authority (MTA) was established in 1987 to promote economic and infrastructure development in Moon Township. Since its inception, the MTA has financed and constructed three new interchanges and several connector roads along Interstate Business Loop 376. Each project has enhanced the transportation network in Moon Township and opened hundreds of acres of land for development.

The MTA Board consists of five (5) members appointed by the Board of Supervisors. Two members are recommended by the Moon Area School District, two members are from the Board of Supervisors, and one member is appointed to represent the Moon Township business community. The Moon Transportation Authority meets the first Monday of the month at 6:00 PM and at other times as may be necessary. Additional meetings will be advertised.
